ABOUT ME
My name is Simon,
I was born in Germany in 1997, and for as long as I can remember, creativity has been my way of understanding the world. What began as a very personal journey - painting over my own dark and negative thoughts, quickly grew into something much greater.
Art became not only a form of self-expression, but also a lifeline, a way to transform what felt heavy into something meaningful and alive.
I believe that art is one of the most defining elements of humanity. It has accompanied us through every stage of our history, telling stories, preserving emotions, and giving shape to the invisible. To me, art is not decoration or perfection - it is a mirror of the human soul, in all its complexity, imperfection, and beauty.
About twelve years ago, I took my first serious steps into the world of art through photography. Photography taught me how to see differently: To notice details that others might overlook, to capture fleeting moments that hold an entire universe within them. Over time, this practice expanded into new forms of artistic expression, but the underlying drive has always remained the same - curiosity, passion, and the need to translate emotions into something tangible.
My guiding principle is simple:
Perfection is not perfect. I embrace flaws, rawness, and authenticity, because they are what make art alive. In a world that often strives for flawless appearances, I see beauty in the cracks, the shadows, and the contrasts.
Today, my work is the continuation of that first impulse I felt as a teenager.
To transform, to express, and to connect.
Through my art, I hope to invite others to pause, to reflect, and maybe even to recognize a part of themselves in what I create.
